Bogi, who comes from Lombok but is now a Bali resident, handles the finishing touches of furniture detailing. He swells with pride everytime he is surrounded by his three kids or when he works together with his wife, Winda. When Bogi is not lacquering, waxing, or painting, he likes to spend his time fishing in the river.
Faisal, originally from Lombok, moved on to Bali to find a living. He knew that there was always something he was called to do and is good at. A small workshop in South Bali taught him the art of furniture making. Now, he is grateful to be making a living out of it, and focuses on his work knowing that with every piece he makes, someone benefits from it.
Jon is the glue that holds many different artisans together, overseeing any collaborative work which is needed. He is from the Indonesian city of Malang in East Java, where he is happily married. When Jon is not working you will find him anywhere that singing is involved.

Our furniture is designed to be low maintenance while still providing durability and longevity. Most pieces can be easily cleaned by simply wiping with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the natural fibers and finishes.
For pieces with natural rattan, occasional light sanding can help remove scuffs and restore the texture. A natural oil like tung oil can also be applied to rattan to condition and protect the material while enhancing its natural luster.
Wood surfaces should be dusted regularly with a microfiber cloth to prevent buildup. A mild soap and water solution can be used to clean wood if needed, then dried thoroughly with a soft towel. Avoid placing wood furniture in direct sunlight or high-moisture areas to prevent warping, checking, or mold growth.
Textiles on seating and pillows can be spot cleaned if needed using a mild detergent and cool water. Check the specific fabric recommendations for your piece. In general, air drying textiles is best to avoid heat damage.
Periodic inspections for loose joinery, hardware or any structural issues is also advised to get ahead of any potential repairs needed. Tightening loose joints or hardware can often be easily done at home with basic tools.

In March 2023, we expanded our business and launched Mojo Boutique in the USA.
While immersing ourselves in the Balinese culture, we learned to speak Indonesian and formed deep connections with local artisans. We were truly amazed by their dedication to using and recycling natural materials for their sustainable creations. However, we also discovered that these talented traditional artisans faced challenges when it came to selling their items internationally.
Motivated by our admiration for the artisans and their incredible craftsmanship, we decided to bridge this gap. We wanted to bring the world the unique handmade creations of these traditional artisans and showcase their ancestral know-how to a global audience. Thus, Mojo Boutique was born as a platform to share these extraordinary pieces.
